The van was purchased for $500 from the son of the original builder, Mr. D. Marriott, about 1 km from home. It was built on a farm in Blayney NSW from an old chev truck chassis, brakes & wheels, welded steel frame, & ply panels. I gave it a major rebuild, taking over a year & a lot of money & grog.
